Community Programs
The City of Apache Junction Public Works Department is actively involved within the community. Citizens can contact Public Works to learn more about Adopt-A-Street, City Surplus Property, Graffiti Control and Household Hazardous Waste.
Adopt A Street
One of the City of Apache Junction goals is to keep its streets free of litter. We encourage motorists to dispose of litter properly. Scheduling regular maintenance and the Adopt-A-Street program contributes to achieving the City's goal. The Adopt-A-Street program encourages groups, organizations, families and businesses to pick up litter along a specific length of street. Appropriate signage is erected by the City showing the groups litter control effort. Groups will be allowed to pick up litter on designated sections of the street under a City permit subject to the conditions and rules specified in the attached policy and procedures for the Adopt-A-Street program.
