Development Fee Report

_PUBLICNOTICE.jpg

The city of Apache Junction is beginning the process prescribed in state statutes to update its development fees.

Development fees are paid by developers at the time building permits are issued for new development. Those fees help fund infrastructure for police, streets, libraries and parks and recreation facilities necessary to accommodate new growth in the community.

The first step is to make available to the public a draft report known as the “Land Use Assumptions, Infrastructure Improvements Plan and Development Fee Report,” dated March 30, 2022.

This notice regarding availability for public review of the Land Use Assumptions, Infrastructure Improvements Plan and Development Fee draft report, is hereby provided pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes § 9-463.05.

A copy of the draft report is available at the city of Apache Junction Development Services Department, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction, and at the following link, www.apachejunctionaz.gov/devfees2022.

On May 17, 2022, the city council will hold a public hearing on the matter for consideration of approval and adoption.

Any questions related to the draft report should be directed to the Rudy Esquivias at (480) 474-5083.
