Mud Run

The Mud Run is back! Apache Junction Parks and Recreation is excited to be live and in-person for our 9th Fit Families MUD RUN! Our Mud Run is unique from other themed races as it’s created for all family members to experience the obstacle craze together! From our youngest participant of 18 months to our oldest of 85 years, this is truly an event your family won’t want to miss.

The Fit FamiliesMud Run Flyer 22-lower res Mud Run gives families an opportunity to participate in such an event without the high level dangers of the mainstream mud runs.  Many of these runs are of great length. They can cover up to 12 miles with dangerous obstacles such as 8-plus foot high climbing walls, barbed wire-covered trenches, running over fire and running through electrical shock obstacles.  The obstacles created for the Fit Families Mud Run are age-appropriate in their distances, challenges and safety; the obstacles were designed for maximum mud and minimum danger!

This year’s event will be on Saturday, Oct. 22 with the first of three waves starting at 9:30 a.m. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your wave time. This will give you time to get checked in, take some pre-mud family photos and store your items at our staffed bag check area. Day of registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on-site at the Rodeo Grounds. Fee is $10 per person if registered by Sept. 30. Adult prices will increase to $20 on Oct. 1 and $25 on race day. Youth prices will remain $10.

We would like to thank our event sponsor, Legacy Traditional Schools, for jumping in the mud with us this year!
