Apache Junction Police Chief Michael Pooley has joined forces with other area police chiefs to support Angels on Patrol, a non-profit organization that provides officer-initiated support to community members during times of crisis. Thanks to this partnership, officers now have a resource to utilize when they see a need in the Apache Junction community. Angels on Patrol is the only nonprofit with the mission of helping officers go above and beyond the call of duty. To learn more, visit https://angelsonpatrol.org/.
To support Angels on Patrol, the Apache Junction Police Department has teamed up with K2 Adventures for a fundraising event. The event will provide law enforcement with additional funds to help those in need and send Chief Pooley to Tanzania to volunteer at a local orphanage and hike Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Four AJPD officers and Paradise Valley Police Chief Carney are among those committed to the climb.
