The Mud Run is back! Apache Junction Parks and Recreation is excited to be live and in-person for our 10th Mud Run! Our Mud Run is unique from other themed races as it’s created for all family members to experience the obstacle craze together! From our youngest participant of 18 months to our oldest of 85 years, this is truly an event your family won’t want to miss.
This year’s event will be on Saturday, Oct. 21 with the first of three waves starting at 9:30 a.m. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your wave time. This will give you time to get checked in, take some pre-mud photos and store your items at our staffed bag check area. Day of registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on-site at the Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds, 1590 E. Lost Dutchman Blvd. Fee is $10 per person if registered by Sept. 30. Adult prices will increase to $20 on Oct. 1 and $25 on race day. Youth prices will remain $10.
The Apache Junction Mud Run gives families an opportunity to participate in such an event without the high-level dangers of other mud runs that can be much longer, with obstacles such as 8-foot-high climbing walls, barbed wire-covered trenches, running over fire or shock obstacles. The obstacles created for the Apache Junction Mud Run are age-appropriate in distance, challenge and safety; the obstacles were designed for maximum mud and minimum danger!
