Join us at Prospector Park for a story, activities and play! Theme: Dr. Seuss Celebration
Join us for Mario day where you will have fun for the whole family. At 11 am there will be a toddler rainbow road course for those aged 1-3, which requires registration (contact library at 480-474-8555). This vent will also include trivia, crafts, tournament and movies. We hope to see you there!

Are your little ones running through the house, jumping over furniture, lobbing their toys through the air? They could be our next Itty Bitty Olympian. Bring your children (ages 1-6) out to enjoy this fun filled morning earning prizes in modified Olympic style events on Saturday, March 23 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Flatiron Park.
Registration is only $5.00. FREE for residents of Apache Junction if pre-registered. Space is limited. All on-site registration will be $5.00 cash.
Modified Events are: Javelin Throw, Discus, Shot Put, Standing Long Jump, & an Inflatable Obstacle Course.
Participants will receive prizes for completing each event (while supplies last).
Check-in opens at 10:00am.
Extra activities (included with registration) will be available as well as a photobooth.

Easter Egg Hunt at the City Complex Park next to the library for our littlest friends ages 5 and under.
Grab your tent, sleeping bags and your family and join Parks and Recreation as we campout in our park. Enjoy a full day of outdoor activities that includes archery lessons, arts & crafts, camp kickball and more. The evening will be followed up with with hayrides to bonfires where we will have s'mores and campfire stories provided by the AJ Public Library. Hot dogs & hamburgers will be served for dinner and a light breakfast will be served the next morning.
Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a nice evening outside listening to some great music. The Spring Series of Concerts in the Park is providing you with live entertainment. The concert is from 5:30pm-7pm and is brought to you for FREE by the City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation and Sonlite Productions. Concert will be held at Flatiron Community Park at 100 N. Apache Trail Apache Junction, AZ 85119. In the event of bad weather, the concert may be moved to the Multi-Generational Center. Go back in time and discover what the world was like in the Jurassic age! Dig up old bones, go on a scavenger hunt, and wait-oh there is more-but you will be there to see it! This event is designed for youth 10 and younger and a care giver. (Hang out at the park for a special showing of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom following the event)

Join the City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation at our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at Prospector Park!
Come help find over 8,500 prize filled eggs! This egg hunt is open to all ages and is free to the public. The hunt is divided up into separate age groups: 2 & under, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, 9&10, 11-15 and 16 & over. Special prizes will be given to those who find a token in the egg during the hunt. Don't forget to bring your Easter baskets to carry all of your goodies!
There will be other activities and games sponsored by local non-profit organizations available during and after the egg hunt.
The first egg hunt will begin at 9 a.m. for kids 2 and under. The remaining hunts will begin immediately after the first in order of age.
Be sure to come early and allow for plenty of time to park! The hunt will take place on the softball fields at Prospector Park, located at 3015 N. Idaho Rd. The park is about 1/8th of a mile north of Lost Dutchman Blvd.
